Best times of the day to be out and about with my camera… Driving in the dark watching the sky turn red as the sun works its way over the horizon gets me excited everytime. Despite the struggle to get out of bed, it has never disappointed me to catch those early rays. The ocean breeze and the cold sand between my toes are my caffeine to start the day as I capture some picture candy for the day. The same goes for the evening, it makes my heart skip a beat every time. Our “sundowners” have become a family tradition and are always memorable. Every time we say this was the best so far… and yet, it still gets better;)
A few impressions of some of the cities I have been to lately. I feel very fortunate to have been able to travel to these places and capture a few highlights.
I just started experimenting with more structural images in nature. Mother Earth has so much to offer and I am enjoying discovering new horizons. Currently, I am working on a series, so stay tuned, there is more to come.

Roads and Bridges always lead me to a different adventure… I love going on road trips and drive through places I have never been before. Experiencing the different vibrations is always exciting and allows me to expand my knowledge and creativity. Bridges are such majestic structures with a certain beauty to them. They carry us safely across waters and the views are never boring.

The very first time I was on a board was in Bali in 1977. I was instantly hooked but as I grew older I unfortunately gave it up. Today, the closest I get to surfing is with my camera. Whenever I am near an ocean it is a must for me to check out the surf. I love capturing the anticipation of the surfers heading into the ocean, or the satisfaction they radiate when they come out with a huge smile. Enjoy some of my favorites
Fascinating waves… Depending on light, weather and daytime, the outcome is always unexpected. I love that. My favourite time of the day is when the sun sets and the last intense rays of the sun glisten on the tip of the waves. Right after a Storm is also a thing for me, I enjoy going out hoping to catch the ferocity of the waves and freeze it in time. Currently I have 2 Series to offer. The first being Montauk Rosé, a series of 6 images. The second and latest being Blue Freeze, which I shot during the big freeze in February 2021, compiled of 8 images.

The extraordinary and powerful moon is defined a natural satellite, responsible for ocean tides amongst other things. Once a month it presents us with different energies, sometimes depriving me (and I am sure many others) of sleep. I love to follow this magical and mystical glowing ball up in the dark skies with my camera. These experiences can never be duplicated as they are unique each and every time.
Wood has always been an important substance for my photography. A tree, a fence, a wooden floor or anything exuding the warmth of wood is always a welcome feature in my work. Being in the Hamptons, part-time, I am surrounded by trees, driftwood, fences, etc… There’s just something yummy about it…..

My main focus in photography is nature. During my trip to Bali however, I had the privilege to spend a day with the well known photographer Stephen Wayda. Stephen specialised in portrait photography in L.A. and convinced me to broaden my horizon and focus on people. At the crack of dawn we traveled outside of Ubud and explored the rice fields and a village market amongst other places. The women working at the market were absolutely stunning. They exuded such stoic beauty and elegance, the children were carefree and adorable. I am so very grateful to have had this opportunity and spend this memorable day surrounded by these beautiful people.
There’s no place like the beach or better yet, being on a boat. I hope some of these pictures exhibit the tranquility of being near, or on the water.
Sparkling lights in the dark have always had an effect on me. Reflections of light on water, Christmas lights, or spaces being lit in the dark, whatever it is becomes more dramatic. Let the sparkling lights bring on the magic.
One of the most impressive and memorable trips I have ever made. Not only did the Grand Canyon leave an everlasting majestic impression on me, but so did Utah and Sedona. I was partially overwhelmed by the vastness and beauty of the landscape. It is absolutely breathtaking.
You can sense the energies amongst the red rocks and it is absolutely magical. These few days broadened my horizons on various different levels and so did the people I met on this trip who shared their wisdom with me. I feel very fortunate to have had this opportunity and will definitely return for more exploration.
I have always loved animals and my childhood dream was to become a Veterinarian. It turned out that I was better in mathematics than I was in chemistry. Nonetheless, my love for all sorts of animals never ceased. Most pictures here on my website are from a trip to South Africa. I was very fortunate to see all sorts of wildlife up front and extremely close. This was an extraordinary experience and kept me exhilarated for months after.
